Jac Mac & Rad Boy

All this talk about Nite Flights got me thinking about memories of a certain television show by a similar name.

If it was the mid-1980’s and you were up late and bored on a Friday night, you could probably find something interesting on Night Flight. I’m not going to go into specifics about the show here, but I think it’s a goldmine for forgotten film shorts, music videos, interviews… and way-out animation such as this:

Creepy Animated Shorts Pt. 2

Alma by Rodrigo Blaas, who has worked on many Pixar films.

Is there anything creepier than a roomful of dolls?  Other than the person who would collect a roomful of dolls, I mean.

Creepy Animated Shorts Pt.1

Halloween is just around the corner, so I thought I would share some of my favorite creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky animated shorts.  First up is an new discovery my good friend Bryan just turned me on to– The Sandman by Paul Berry.

Next up, The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello by Anthony Lucas.  It’s a beautifully rendered, dark piece set in a Jules Verne-esque universe.  It’s the kind of thing I wish there were tons more of– exquisite to behold with a nice bite.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for part 2.
